Beam Agreement to Produce Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro Docking Stations
Beam announces that it will produce Inmarsat IsatPhone Pro docking stations
Beam, a well respected producer of portable docking stations and fixed site solutions for satellite communications, has announced that it has reached an agreement with Inmarsat to develop, manufacture, and distribute docking stations for Inmarsat's soon to be released IsatPhone Pro. The agreement includes vehicular, maritime, and fixed site solutions that will be specialized for use with the IsatPhone Pro. This will provide Inmarsat's Global Satellite Phone Service (GSPS) with access to additional market segments that will be complementary to both companies.
Inmarsat plans to release the IsatPhone Pro at the end of June, 2010. Beam's announcement says it plans to release compatible docking units in the 3rd quarter of 2010.
