OpenPort delivers reliable, cost-effective global voice and data communications for marine users needing multiple voice lines. Internet access speeds up to 128 Kbps are available, depending on your rate plan. The system does not require professional installation and includes a pole-mounting bracket for the 22.44” diameter antenna unit.

INTERNET SERVICES: OpenPort offers 9.6 kbps, 32 kbps, 64 kbps, and 128 kbps data rates, depending on which rate plan you select. The data rate quoted is the best case performance, not a guarantee of a data rate. OpenPort gives you "always-on" internet access via an Ethernet port. You pay by the amount of usage in megabytes, not the connection time. Rate plans are available with bundled MB usage.

VOICE SERVICES: There are 3 voice ports for use with conventional phones with RJ-11 connectors. The OpenPort standard kit also includes a Captain's desk phone and a Crew desk phone.  To facilitate inbound calling, each voice line can be assigned a US phone number. Each voice line can be configured for:

• Normal pay-as-you-go monthly billing
• Captain's "pin-protected" mode
• Crew "prepaid" mode
