Our lightweight portable NiMH PowerBase battery pack is air-traffic approved and protected by rubberized armor.  It can be used for powering virtually any small electronic device that is equipped with a 12 VDC auto-accessory charger (max 7A).    It has about the same foot print as a small notebook computer.   This means that you have more flexible power. The PowerBase can be recharged using a variety of solar panels sold by Outfitter Satellite or using its universal AC charger 120-240 VAC 50/60 Hz.

NOTE: The most reliable and effective way of using solar power in the field is to use a rechargeable battery such as the PowerBase in concert with an appropriate solar panel. This enables daytime and nighttime power access and avoids compatibility problems for high load electronics that may not operate directly from a low wattage solar power source.
